Meet Katie Vance, an accomplished Associate at Quicker Law and a registered patent attorney specializing in Intellectual Property Litigation. With a keen focus on patent infringement, trademark infringement, and trade secret matters, Katie has been a guiding force for clients navigating the complexities of legal challenges.

 

In her role at Quicker Law, Katie has represented companies across diverse industries, including medical devices, computer and electronics, mechanical, weapons, and consumer products. Her expertise extends to both state and federal courts, where she consistently handles trademark, copyright, domain name, and trade secret disputes, along with licensing and various commercial matters.

 

Notably, Katie is a valuable asset to both the litigation and prosecution teams at Quicker Law. Her dynamic background includes nearly eight years at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where she played a pivotal role in the Inorganic and Radiation Analytical Technology Branch. Her contributions ranged from Elemental Analysis to External Quality Assurance, with involvement in significant projects such as incorporating table salt into the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) and implementing a method for iodine determination in table salt via inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry.

 

Katie’s CDC expertise extends to quality assurance programs, including EQUIP, LAMP, and PAsS, which have global impacts in enhancing the accuracy of analytical analyses. Her proficiency in analytical methods, including ICP-MS, and adherence to CLIA ‘88 regulations, showcases her commitment to excellence.

 

A proud graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Chemistry, Katie pursued her legal education at Georgia State College of Law while working full-time at the CDC. During her academic journey, she not only excelled in her studies but also showcased her athleticism as a competitor on the Georgia Tech cross country and indoor and outdoor track teams.

 

Beyond her professional endeavors, Katie finds joy in running with her two border collies, engaging in crossfit, and savoring moments at the local beer garden. As an extreme hobbyist, she thrives on learning new crafts, DIY projects, and skills, embodying a spirit of continuous growth and curiosity.
